Ray Jacobs has worked as an art director/designer/writer/creative director and musician for the past 40 years. His work has garnered over 150 awards, and has been exhibited in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. His clients range from CBS Entertainment, CBS NEWS, NBC Stations Group, NBC NEWS, ABC Network, Paramount Television, Fox Network, 20th Television, Buena Vista Television, MGM Television, Dreamworks Television, Columbia Television, Sony, Citi Bank, The Food Network, and over 100 television stations across America.
He has been on the faculty of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Ca., and guest lectured and mentored at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach, Ca. He has been featured in TV Guide, Art Direction Magazine, and is a published photographer, as well as poet, winning a silver medal for his work from the International Society of Poets in 2002. He is listed in Who’s Who in America, and served as President of the Art Director’s Club of Los Angeles, as well as founding The Creative Playground.
Ray also performed in a Los Angeles symphony at the age of 14, and was first chair trombone in the Meremblum Senior Symphony in Hollywood, Ca., as well as performing in studios on trombone.
