Margaret. Kendziorek has performed in many community, metropolitan, chamber and opera orchestras as Concertmaster, Principal Viola, and Orchestra Manager. She holds the position of Principal Viola and has played with CVS for 7 yrs.
As a musician, Ms. Kendziorek has recorded with EMI, RCA, Ambassador Foundation, Orion and Composers Forum. She has performed as violinist and violist in 19 KFAC broadcasts and with both the Oceano Quartet and the Musica da Camera. She has been both a performer and the contractor for the Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay for 18 years, along with the Beach Cities Symphony and many churches in the Los Angeles area. She was violin soloist with the Houston Symphony, the Orquestra Nacional de Mexico and the Little Orchestra Society of New York.
In California, Ms. Kendziorek was in the Jascha Heifetz Master Class, and Master Class of Joseph Gingold. She continued to coach with various pedagogues such as Natalie Limonick, Dr. David Stockhammer of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Dr. Malcolm Hamilton of USC and Dr. Frances Steiner.
Ms. Kendziorek was Professor of Violin and Viola at Loyola Marymount University for 12 years and an adjunct professor at UCLA. She was also a Professor of Laboratory Chemistry at Ventura College.
Awards/Accomplishments
She was the String Chairperson of the Certificate of Merit for the Music Teachers Association of California, and as such wrote two syllabi each for violin and viola for that organization and also wrote and published another string syllabus for the California Association of Professional Music Teachers.
She was awarded the Teacher of the Year by the Music Teachers of California in 1995.
Education
Ms. Kendziorek received a Performers Certificate from the Julliard School of Music in both Violin and Viola, on scholarships with Louis Persinger and Joseph Fuchs on violin and Lillian Fuchs on viola.
She obtained degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas, Austin.
Personal
Ms. Kendziorek is a Docent and Specialist lecturer at the Palm Springs Art Museum. She continues to teach violin, viola and coach chamber music at her studio in Rancho Mirage.
