If not for Jeannette Banoczi, CVS would not be in existence. She took a local symphony, reorganized it, and developed what is now the Coachella Valley Symphony, later founding the Buddy Rogers Youth Symphony and the Beginning Strings Conservatory.
She was the Principal Trumpet in CVS for 16 years.
Awards/Achievements
Ms. Banoczi is the recipient of the Jefferson Award in 2005 and the Athena Award in 2006. She also received a special Presidential commendation medal in 2006. She has a Star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars in front of the Vineyard Tuscan Grill.
Artistic Abilities
Jeannette has been a professional musician since age 15, in Concord, New Hampshire; she moved to New York where she appeared with the Ina Ray Hutton orchestra. She continued to perform with big bands, orchestras and symphonies and is one of only a few female, classical trumpeters until a few years ago.
Personal
Ms. Banoczi has lived in Palm Desert for more than 20 years. She is the mother of three daughters.
