The Coachella Valley Symphony (CVS) is made up almost entirely of desert community residents but includes some musicians from the mountain cities of Crestline, Idyllwild, and Blue Jay. The 70-piece orchestra performs an extensive variety of classical and pops music. It offers six main concert events each season, a subscription series of four concerts, and two benefit events.
Wayne Abravanel is the Music Director and Conductor. The orchestra rehearses weekly in centrally located Palm Desert.
